This music diary is designed to help students, teachers and parents communicate.

How does it work?

1. Teachers write down scales and pieces for the week in the left hand column
2. Students can tick the box on the day that they have practiced
3. Sight reading and fun songs are also included in practice time but are clearly marked so parents can see which pieces need to be practiced
4. Handy checklist for theory homework means “I forgot” is no longer a valid excuse.
   Can I recommend using a more fun excuse like “I got abducted by music hating aliens?”
5. The comments section is included so parents or students can write down questions they may otherwise forget
